Big cyber Attack in The K.T Telecom Company of South Korea

The telecommunications Company of South Korea K.T  has been hit by a cyber attacks (denial of service distribution). The attack, which took place around 11am local time on Monday, affected phone subscribers across the country.

According to the company, after a 40-minute service interruption, users were unable to use credit cards, stock trading and other online applications.

A spokesman for Betelco said the company's disaster management team had taken immediate steps to restore order.

As a result, telecom services have returned to normal in many parts of the country.

State police and the ICT Department of Science are studying collaborative attacks with KT. However, the Department did not state that the detox attack was the cause of the attack.

Also, major calls from SK Telecom and LG Telecom were not affected.

Although not affected by the Didix attack, users of SK Telecom and LG Telecom have been raising strong opposition to the communication attacks.

Both companies said they were keeping a close eye on the attack.
